A month ago I shot this campaign for German brand Kryolan. As you can see they went for quite a bold look 'Rouge Noir' and the make up is pretty heavy. The main reason for this is that the brand specialised in make up for the stage. Well known in the Theatre, Ballet and as in this campaign, Award shows. The photos are being used to promote the famous Bambi awards which are held this year in Berlin, which is Germany's Equivalent to the Oscars. The make up is designed to last under strong light for hours.

So if your heading to a red carpet or a stage, check them out!

On the first day we shot the step by step make up looks at Holborn studios in London. On the second day we created the exact same look, but this time we had a red carpet rolled out over a few steps, some big lights in the background and we shot the look in context with gorgeous dresses. It really did make me feel very glamorous and I could imagine how it might feel, being famous and walking up and down the red carpet surrounded by camera flashes.

The photos were shot by Beauty photographer Jayesh Pankhaniastyled by the Fashion/Celebrity Stylist Joey Bevan and make up was done by the Global Head of Make up at Kryolan,  Paul Merchant.
