PLUMP IT UP - Sara in Sleek`s new make up campaign
I shot this campaign for Sleek Makeups new plumping lip crayons. A new product that was only released this July (2016). On the shoot, we were a bunch of girls in the dressing room all chatting and having a nice time whilst I was getting my makeup done. So they completely forgot to tell me that these lip crayons have a plumping effect. I was therefor not prepared at all when me lips suddenly started to feel rather strange. I thought I might have had an allergic reaction or something, ha! I was a bit afraid to tell the client that I was actually having a reaction to their product, but when I eventually told them they all got a good laugh. This slightly tingling effect was of course suppose to happen! It's actually not painful or anything, its just a very odd sensation if you are not expecting it. It absolutely did do the job though, as my lips definitely looked and felt more plumped after applying this makeup. As you can see in this photo, the crayons comes in several lovely shades of pink - and they are definitely worth a try :) Find out more on Sleek's website: www.sleekmakeup.com
the balloon girl
I absolutely love shooting beauty campaigns, especially when I get to pose in a sea of pink balloons :P Funnily enough I did a shoot only a few weeks earlier, for a nail polish campaign, where I was also shooting together with lots of balloons. For this other shoot the photos is for their christmas campaign, so it won't be put for a while (and the balloons where red obviously). So maybe I have found my niche market as a model - the balloon-girl. Fine by me!! haha.
I actually shot this campaign for Sleek MakeUP the day before valentines day. So when the client asked if any of us wanted to take some of them home, I was like: YES!!! I dont know how suitable the gift were, but I was adamant to surprise my boy friend Ben with a massive bouquet of pink helium balloons. It was a massive effort to take them home on the underground in the middle of rush hour though... Ben was pretty impressed with my gift, but the balloons quickly ended up at his sisters flat where I think they survived for several months - very impressive. So this girly photoshoot prop has gotten lots of attention and usage :P
