THE SNOW QUEEN - SARA IN CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN FOR MOT MODELS
We are now at the hight of this years Christmas season, and therefor figured it would be a good time to share some photos from our model agency's Christmas campaign. For this years campaign I (Sara) was asked to take part in the photoshoot as the role of a snow queen. This was of course something I was more than happy to join in on, and what a fun concept for a Christmas shoot. These photos are currently being used on MOT model's website, and they have also used some of them for their Christmas cards :)
Although it looks very nice and snowy in these photos, we actually shot them in the middle of the summer in a forest just north of London. And thank goodness for that, seeing I would be absolutely freeeeezing wearing these beautiful gowns outside during winter. I am currently back in my home town in Norway, where we have got a beautiful white and frosty December this year. These winter conditions we have here at the moment would be absolutely perfect for this type of photo shoot - but the temperatures are far too low for that to be possible.
Anyway, back to the shoot! We were 5 models all together who took part in this campaign (sort of :P). Aside from myself there was a little girl (aka the fairy princess), a male model from South Africa, and then two snow-white and very beautiful animals - an owl and a horse. I have some experience working with animals, but this shoot was the first time where there has been two of them - and for one of the set ups we even tried having them both in shot at the same time. Although both animals were properly trained, and therefor very well behaved, it still must have been difficult for the photographer to capture the perfect moments. I am so impressed with the final result, especially the photo where the owl is spreading her wings and looking directly into the camera.
That brings me to the rest of the team. The photographer behind these shots is Claire Harrison, a very talented photographer that both Annabell and I have had the pleasure of working with in the past. Check out more of Claire's work here! The hair was done by James Wilson, and the makeup artist on this shoot was Claudia Savage :)
Now I would like to end this post by wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and hope that you have a wonderful celebration over the next couple of days. In Norway we call today 'lille julaften' which means little Christmas Eve - the night before the night. As it is on Christmas Eve that we have our main celebrate here in Norway. So I will be spending the rest of today wrapping remaining presents, decorating the tree and help out with preparing a few things for tomorrows big dinner!
God Jul :)
