JAMES LAKELAND ECOM WORK FEAT ANNABELL
We`ve been writing and showing you quite a bit of Ecommercial work recently and here you go again ;) this is another job I did a few month back this time for James Lakeland. This was my first time working for James and I liked it a lot. It`s always lovely to get to know other British brands and the people behind the company. I got invited to the casting through the Female Narrative Collective, which I`ve been a part of from the start. The lovely Tijana put me forward and I was lucky enough to meet the Designer itself whilst trying on some pieces in his office.
I got super excited when the job booking came through. I know I know this is just another online fashion job, but nowadays as you may have noticed - most fashion pieces are only available to buy online with some exceptions of course. For Ecomm you usually shoot in a Studio with white background and bright light to show the garments at its best.
If you are lucky, you might get booked for a lovely look book shoot somewhere in south Europe or even in Cape Town, where you usually work a few days. As its often a lot of clothes they want to shoot. With online fashion its just different, they get more collections in or for example online shops like ASOS, has their own clothing line or tons of other high street brands, even designer clothes, thereby they literally shoot everyday even on weekends ;).

Some information about JAMES LAKELAND
James Lakeland's passion for design began when working at his father's manufacturing business which specialised in luxury suede and leather men’s and women’s wear. Here, Lakeland gained a grassroots understanding of the importance of quality, great design, interesting details and personal service, which inspired him to go on to launch his own label.
In 2000, Lakeland launched his first capsule knitwear range, which focused on luxurious cashmere and wool blends in rich tonal shades. The knitwear collection gained widespread acclaim and its effortless yet elegant look went on to form the basis of James Lakeland’s mainline womenswear collection.
The “MADE IN ITALY” guarantee of our merchandise has gained us respect and more importantly we have not cut corners to produce our merchandise, but have remained true to the James Lakeland core, quality craftsmanship and a love of each garment. James has been zipping around the fabric and yarn manufacturers of Como, Florence, Rome and Milan to source the most beautiful and innovative fabrics.
James Lakeland is now stocked in key department stores and independents and its standalone boutiques span the UK.
