ANNABELL X BRIAN ROLFE DAYLIGHT SHOOT
As a model you should always have an `up to date` portfolio, which means: you should have pictures in your book, which are ideally not older then 1 year. To have those, you either have a lot of great material from paid jobs or every now and then you'll invest into some test shoots.
This time I (Annabell) wanted to update my portfolio after I came back from my big holidays, as I knew that my skin will be nice and tanned. So I got in touch with Brian Rolfe a few month before my holidays to talk about a potential shoot in May for when I`m back. We found a date, I packed some classic & simple clothes and some lingerie and took the train down to Brian's studio. We were lucky enough to have picked a day, on one of the hottest days in London ;) This meant, Brian was able to set up his studio in the garden and we just used the daylight to create those lovely images.
For a test shoot, I always try to create a mood board to see if the photographer is on the same page. Brian and I usually have the same ideas, so it's very easy for us to work hand in hand. Obviously the Make up artist plays a big role as well. For this shoot we had the lovely Sarah Mcilwain-bates on board who did a fantastic job with my hair and the make up inspiration. THE 4 OF US have worked with Sarah recently on a different shoot, and I also worked with her for the third time on another test shoot, which I`ll be sharing here soon too.
I just love shooting with Brian Rolfe, he's one of my favourite photographers to work with, it's always fun, easy and quick. I shot with him a few times before in the period of 2 years, even once with the girls for one of our header shots. Find some of the other shoots with Brian at the bottom of this post.
So here I am showing you my new favourites from the shoot day. xx Annabell
