ZSANETT'S TOP TIPS FOR SALES SHOPPING
Sales shopping is such a good opportunity to freshen up that old ass wardrobe of yours isn't it? To get something you always wanted but thought it was a bit pricy? To get a few more pairs of bikinis for that beach holiday than you were planning on because it's half price now or even less? Yes. Sales shopping can be a wonderful thing, but stressful and messy at times. People tend to go crazy. And often aggressive! Weirdos. So I thought in today's post, I'd share some of my top tips for stress free(ish) shopping spree.
1.: GO ONLINE
It makes things so much simpler, and you get a piece that hasn't been tried on a dozen-or more sweaty stress shoppers. Order more sizes if needed, just to make sure you get what you need, it's so simple to return online shopping these days.
2.: DON'T BE AFRAID TO BUY A SIZE LARGER
Especially if it's a dress or a top. You can always throw a belt on it and make it look like it's supposed to be a bit looser fit. Unless you're buying a very fitted dress of course. I, for example, got two amazing dresses from And Other Stories, both a size or two larger than what I normally wear. Styled it with a belt, done. It actually looks better than it was intended to be honest.
3.: DON'T STAND IN LINE TO TRY THEM ON
Otherwise, you'll go insane. I know I would. It's hot, you're sweaty, there are thousands of people waiting to get in the changing rooms-ok maybe not thousands, but way too many for my patience. Just get them all, get out, try them on, make a calm and collected decision, then return what you really don't need. This way you can also avoid rash decisions. Remember, you can always return. Just check their policies on Sales returns.
4.: SCAN THE ROOM FIRST
Have your mind made up already on what you are there for. Scan the room, you'll most likely pick up what you are drawn to instantly, then go take a closer look. If you like, you take. This way you save time going through the whole collection, or picking from the pile on the tables like you're at a second-hand shop. Which is, of course, fine too, I just don't like doing it.
5.: DON'T BUY UNNECESSARY CRAP
It's so easy to go overboard while browsing, so even tho everything is much cheaper than usual, you don't necessarily have to go insane with it. Pick what you need or you had in your head already. And don't forget to recycle old clothes you don't need or want to wear anymore. You can recycle now at H&M or just go to your local Charity Shop.
