PLAID - THE PATTERN OF COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK
Today is the very first day of New York fashion week. But Copenhagen was the city to kick start this Fashion Week season, and we saw a lot of top-notch and very cheque winter outfits from the Scandi-fashionistas attending shows there last week. We, of course, saw a large diversity in what people were wearing. Everything from being dressed top-to-toe in brown leather, to people in bright neon puffer jackets, and we also saw a lot of Plaid.
Therefore, in this post we have put together some Copenhagen Fashion Week-inspired outfits, using items with Plaid patterns. Everything you see me(Sara) wearing in this post is from the high street. So these looks are the more ‘affordable’ versions of what you would have seen on the streets of Copenhagen last week.
PLAID NAVY TROUSERS, TAN COAT AND GOLD ACCESSORIES
PLAID VINTAGE DRESS
The dress I am wearing here is by Reclaimed Vintage, also available in our ‘SHOP THE LOOK’ section further down in this post.
Seeing that is only February, and still very cold outside, I decided to pair this dress with a black woollen jumper, some thick black tights, and a large brown leather teddy coat.
Dresses are certainly not just for spring and summer :)
ORANGE PLAID SLIM FLARED TROUSERS
How cool are these orange, almost neon coloured, flared trousers from ASOS?
If you want to wear something bold without going all out, then why not do like I have done here - pair a statement item, like these trousers, with other more subtle pieces like a simple black jumper and some sporty trainers.
